Transcription of the report:

Hello, I'm Pamella, born in RJ and raised in SG. I am a black sister, an intellectual woman of poor origin, colonized and self-decolonized at all times. I went through child sexual abuse, which was common in the 90s where I grew up, and I think what I went through was something that people tried very hard not to see, because it was so obvious that a lot of children were suffering from it. But who defends children from adults? In my home, the aggression to my mother's body was also as if it had been in mine, and the broken house, materially and symbolically, made all this illusion of a nuclear family dissolve in my experiences.

None of that stopped me, I kept flowing. Today, I am a doctoral student at Fiocruz, I am a social scientist in graduation, and I conquered my independence through my intellect, the strength of my work, my faith in Oyá, and the strength of my mother and the women in my family. A big black family, full of seeds planted in this soil, which is also full of our roots.
